About program
The program is designed for students seeking in-depth knowledge in the field of organizational transformation management, with additional specializations in cybersecurity and sustainability. The program provides for studying under a joint curriculum at partner universities in Great Britain and Ukraine, which allows students to obtain two diplomas.
Our MBA prepares professionals for leadership in the context of significant organisational change. The programme will equip you with knowledge and skills across the full breadth of the management discipline including people management, strategic development and financial decision-making and control. Your skills will be honed through the lens of leading business transformation, to empower you and your organisation to respond strategically to the changing environment.
The study programme «Business Administration: Organizational Transformations» has two pathways, one of which You can choose before admission.
MBA in Organisational Transformations with Sustainability
A particular flavour of the programme “MBA in Organisational Transformations with Sustainability” is the understanding of how organisations can move towards being net-zero carbon users in their operations while still maintaining economic and social sustainability.
The pathway in Sustainability prepares professionals who will be able to develop and implement sustainable development strategies for business, including environmental initiatives, corporate social responsibility and resource management strategies.
As part of the pathway, students study 3 modules for 15 ECTS from the electives:
- Sustainable business (5 ECTS)
- Cultural sustainability management and organizational dynamics (5 ECTS)
- Corporate sustainability, social innovation and ethics (5 ECTS)
MBA in Organisational Transformations with Cybersecurity
A particular flavour of the programme “MBA in Organisational Transformations with Cybersecurity” is the understanding of how information should be secured against cyber threats. The aim of this theme is to allow managers to better understand how to manage their organisations to prevent loss through such attacks.
The pathway in cyber security provides students with the knowledge and skills to organize and manage business security against cyber threats, as well as an understanding of technological solutions for managing the security of data and information systems.
As part of the pathway, students study 2 modules for 15 ECTS from the electives:
- Fundamentals of computing (8 ECTS)
- Cybersecurity (7 ECTS)

The International Master’s Programme «Business Administration: Organizational Transformations» was jointly developed by Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics (Ukraine) and Abertay University (Scotland) as part of the Twinning initiative. In 2022, Cormack Consultancy Group and MOSAIK launched the Twinning initiative to develop and support partnerships between Ukrainian and British universities. As part of this initiative, the program «Business Administration: Organizational Transformations» was launched, which was implemented by both Universities from 2023.

- Intended learning outcomes:
- Critically consider, choose and use the necessary scientific, methodical and analytical tools for management in unpredictable conditions;
- Identify problems in the organization and justify the methods of solving them;
- Design effective management systems of organizations;
- Justify and manage projects, generate business ideas;
- Plan the activities of the organization in strategic and tactical sections;
- Have the skills to make, substantiate and ensure the implementation of management decisions in unpredictable conditions, taking into account the requirements of current legislation, ethical considerations and social responsibility;
- Organize and carry out effective communications within the team, with representatives of various professional groups and in an international context;
- Apply specialized software and information systems to solve organizational management problems;
- Be able to communicate in professional and scientific circles in national and foreign languages;
- Demonstrate leadership skills and ability to work in a team, interact with people, influence their behavior to solve professional tasks;
- To ensure personal professional development and planning of own time.
- Be able to delegate authority and management of the organization (subdivision);
- Be able to plan and carry out informational, methodical, material, financial and personnel support of the organization (unit).
- Apply and create complex management technologies, methods and tools for effective and efficient business management in risk conditions.
- Two diplomas: Upon completion of the program you will gain:
1) Master’s degree in Management of the Study programme «Business administration: Organizational transformations» of S. Kuznets KhNUE
2) MBA diploma of Abertay University in one of the pathways “MBA in Organizational Transformations with Sustainability” or “MBA in Organizational Transformations with Cybersecurity”

Admission criteria
- Basic requirements
- Bachelor’s or specialist’s or master’s degree in any specialty
- Motivational letter
- Certificates of SEE in the English language and SPET in management and administration (for admission on the basis of a bachelor’s degree) or entrance exams in a foreign language and a specialty at S. Kuznets KhNUE (for admission on the basis of a specialist/master’s degree)
- Additional requirements
- At least B2 Certificate of English language (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge Certificate or equivalent), or 2 years of study in English at a bachelor’s or master’s level, or at least 160 points of a SEE results
- 2 years of business experience in any position
- Admission process: Submission of an application online through the applicant’s electronic account within the terms determined by the Ministry of Education and Sciens of Ukraine, as well as submission of documents confirming compliance with additional requirements filling a Google form

Tuition fee
- The cost of studying at Abertay University is FREE (fully financed by the funds of the international grant project)
- The cost of studying at the Kuznets KhNUE – financed by the state budget or by the funds of individuals or legal entities (contract value — UAH 33,400 per year)
